
I. Ingredients
500g Whole Tomato (around 8-9 medium, tomato)
1 whole onion, minced
½ cup Ground beef/pork
Neutral oil
Sugar (in case tomato is too sour)
Parmesan cheese
II. Procedure
- Boil/cook sausage in water in a pan to leach the oil out
- When only the oil is present, add in the onion until caramelize
- Add the chopped tomato
- Let the sauce boil off most of the water (cover pan and cook around 10 minutes)
- Add sugar if needed
- This is a good time to start cooking pasta
- After pasta finish cooking, drain most of the water (keep 1 cup of starch water)
- Pour the sauce into the pasta
- Add starch water
